Rainbow
(colour transfer) paper
|
Achieve
beautiful colour blends on embroidery using only silver
or white thread.
 |
Step
1
Hoop up the fabric using oven bake or similar non-porous
topping which will tear away cleanly. Take care to
leave plenty of topping on all sides of the embroidery.
Now embroider the design using a good quality metallic
embroidery thread such as King Star. Note: other colours
of thread can be mixed with the metallic as can be
seen in the butterfly design.

Step
2
Remove finished embroidery from the hoop. Now place
colour transfer paper (coloured side down) onto the
embroidery and press with a hot iron taking care not
to move the transfer paper during this process.

|
Step
3 & 4
Peel off the transfer paper and oven bake leaving
a beautiful colour blend the likes of which could
never be achieved with different colours of thread.

At
last a product that really works very well for embroidered
lace designs. Though this product can be used on all types
of fabric. It is more stable than plastic film stabilisers
so it won't stretch during embroidery.
Use it for perfect edgings, quilting, patchwork and individual
appliqués.
1.
You only need to use one layer
2. It is not a film and so it dissolves quickly
3. It is very stable in both directions so won't stretch
4. It is a non woven product and so it does not perforate
like some films
5. It does not have an unpleasant smell like some other
products.
It
will dissolve quickly in cold water but will dissolve as
quick as a flash in hot water. It can also be steamed away.
